Dave Green, chef and manager with CulinArt, Inc., will discuss the College’s sustainability efforts in food service on Thursday, Feb. 23 during a “Sustainable Campus Kitchens Dinner” prior to the 2012 Annual PHENND Conference. The dinner, which targets campus food administrators, is from 6-8:30 p.m. at Saint Joseph’s University.
Dave will join Paul Bulau from University of Pennsylvania and Tom Rizzo from Saint Joseph’s University in a conversation about how to make campus kitchens more sustainable and socially responsible without breaking the budget. Deborah Bentzel, Farm to Institution manager of Fair Food, and Amanda Wagner with “Get Fit Philly” will also offer suggestions.
The theme for PHENND’s 2012 conference is “Food Justice.” The conference will be held on Friday, Feb. 24 at Saint Joseph’s University. For more information, visit www.phennd.org.
