New water filtration system in the Science Center.

This spring, Montgomery County Community College added a second Halsey Taylor HydroBoost water filtration system at the Central Campus. The newest sensor-activated system enables individuals to fill their reusable water bottles in the main lobby of the Science Center, across from the Cultural Affairs office.

Like the station installed in 2011 at the Advanced Technology Center second floor bridge, the new system tracks the number of disposable plastic water bottles saved, based on amount of water used. To date, the ATC system has saved 9,415 bottles, and the new system has already saved 123 bottles, for a combined total of 9,538 bottles saved!
