Montgomery County Community College is one of 25 higher education institutions in the country to receive a 2010 Kresge Foundation Fellowship Award. Presented by Second Nature and funded by the Kresge Foundation, the fellowship program provides college and university executives with the information and networks necessary to become successful green building leaders for their institutions.
Director of Facilities Management Charles Scandone is selected to represent Montgomery County Community College in this initiative. He will attend the 2010 Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) in Denver Colo. in October. At the conference, Scandone will participate in workshop sessions that focus on the impact of the global campus and social justice within the field of sustainability.
