The Climate Commitment Action Plan articulates a pathway for the College to follow as it reduces its carbon footprint and works towards carbon neutrality. The plan outlines short- and long-term strategies to reduce our footprint in three key areas: Transportation; Campus Operations; and Curricula, Co-Curricular and Community Outreach.
Developed by the President’s Climate Commitment Advisory Council, the plan is intended to be a living document, and it will be adjusted as market and technology conditions change. However, the College’s commitment to advancing the overarching goals of the plan, to reduce our carbon footprint, will remain steadfast.

The plan was reviewed by the Environment Protection Agency in August 2010 and was endorsed by Montgomery County Community College’s Board of Trustees in November 2010.
