Carbon Inventory

The President’s Climate Commitment Advisory Council is responsible for conducting an inventory all of the anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions on campus. To assist with the inventory, the College uses a program developed by Clean Air – Cool Planet (CA-CP). All emissions are recorded in metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalents (MTCOE). The global warming potential (GWP) of the individual gases is accounted for in the emissions, and the program is consistent with the guidelines established by the Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change (IPCC).
